WarrantyLens is a receipt/warranty tracker. It does not require an account, collect personal information, or use third-party analytics or ad networks. Everything about your saved warranties lives on your device.
On-device data. Warranty records — product names, brands, purchase dates, warranty periods, receipt photos, notes — are stored locally on your device using Apple SwiftData. This data never leaves your device except through the mechanisms below.
AI extraction. When you scan a receipt, the image and any locally-recognized text are sent over HTTPS to our proxy hosted on Cloudflare Workers, which forwards them to Google Gemini for structured extraction. The response — the extracted fields — comes back to your device. We do not persist scan images or extracted content on our servers.
Export. You can export your full archive as a JSON file at any time from Settings → Export Data. What you do with that file is up to you.
Diagnostics. If you have opted in to Apple's built-in diagnostic sharing at the iOS system level, Apple may collect anonymous crash logs. WarrantyLens does not collect or receive this data.
Camera. Required to scan receipts and warranty documents.
Photo Library. Optional — used only when you pick an existing image instead of taking a new photo.
Notifications. Optional — required for warranty expiry reminders. You can toggle these off in Settings.
WarrantyLens is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
